LGT once again secures top results in the annual Handelsblatt Elite Report and Fuchsbriefe wealth management rankings. On Monday evening, both juries designated the private banking and asset management group as one of the best wealth managers in German-speaking countries. The Elite Report editorial team also selected it as the best private bank in Liechtenstein.
Personal advice, individual service and well-founded investment expertise – these are factors that bank clients place great importance on. Which wealth managers in German-speaking countries best meet these expectations was revealed by the editorial teams of the Handelsblatt Elite Report and Fuchsbriefe in their annual rankings. Yesterday evening, the renowned juries presented their results for 2017. LGT once again received the highest possible score in the Elite Report ratings and defended its spot among the top-ten in the rankings of the best wealth managers in German-speaking countries. LGT was also awarded the “summa cum laude” rating this year for the 15th consecutive time and was again selected as the best private bank in Liechtenstein. At yesterday’s Private Banking Summit in Berlin, Fuchsbriefe awarded LGT a “good” rating. On the all-time best list of top wealth managers, LGT moved up one spot and now holds an outstanding fifth-place ranking.
Comprehensive and personal service
LGT impressed the juries with the outstanding quality of its advice. “With their commitment and knowledge, the advisory teams open the door to comprehensive service that takes into account the personal requirements of the client. Even matters that go beyond traditional wealth management are analyzed, elaborated on and addressed perfectly here”, writes the editorial team of the Elite Report. They further praise LGT for seriously addressing the desire for a true regard for sustainability and implementing this both efficiently and plausibly. Fuchsbriefe also praises LGT’s advisory services. In particular, it describes the commitment demonstrated by relationship managers in their preparations as being “top quality”.
A beacon, not only in German-speaking countries
LGT has been achieving very good results in the bank evaluations for many years and continuously delivers a strong performance. In Fuchsbriefe’s all-time best list of top wealth managers, which shows the development of the wealth managers assessed over the last eight years, LGT has taken an absolutely top spot, ranking fifth among the approximately 100 providers that were tested. In recent years, LGT has also very resolutely worked its way to the top of the pyramid in the Elite Report rating and this year defended its spot in the top ten. According to the jury, the bank has always been convincing in terms of quality and serves as a “beacon” that goes beyond the borders of German-speaking countries.
For this year’s testing, the Elite Report editorial team assessed a total of 352 providers using a multi-stage process. Only twelve percent met the quality criteria set out by the jury and was given a “commended” rating. This year, 100 readers who were looking for a new wealth manager contributed to the evaluations and provided insightful individual assessments. In 2017, Fuchsbriefe tested and assessed around 100 financial institutions consisting of big banks and private banks as well as independent asset managers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Luxembourg. In addition to assessing advisory services, the quality of investment strategies, portfolio quality and the transparency of wealth managers were also evaluated.
