All good things come in threes: After the albums "Italian Journey" (2015) and "Russian Soul" (2017), the third masterpiece of the LGT Young Soloists was recently released: "Nordic Dream". The album was again recorded with the renowned label RCA Red Seal (Sony), and as with the last CDs, the selection of songs was regional. The new album is a tribute to Scandinavia's sound world. “The clear sounds of Nordic music are reminiscent of a bright June evening in Scandinavia,” says Alexander Gilman, the artistic director and founder of the orchestra. “The young musicians have really given themselves over to the music and allow their listeners to fully immerse themselves in this magical world.”
The new album features pieces by Nordic composers of the 19th and 20th centuries. Alongside works by well-known names such as Jean Sibelius, the album also contains a piece entitled “Two Poems” for solo double bass and string orchestra, written especially for the LGT Young Soloists by Swedish composer Jan Alm.
"Nordic Dream" is now available in the stores.
